Parts Unlimited Entertains Hundreds at MotoGP

7/31/2006

Monterey, CA (July 20-23, 2006) — For the second year in a row, Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca was host to the eleventh round of the 2006 MotoGP Championships, and the seventh round of the AMA Superbike Championships. Over 145,000 spectators toughed out the scorching, record breaking temperatures to witness great racing during the three days of the largest motorcycle racing weekend in America.

Also for the second year in a row, Parts Unlimited converted turn 5 into a Chalet for dealers to enjoy a place out of the sun and away from the crowds.

In true "We Support the Sport" form, Parts Unlimited once again proved it's one of the largest supporters of the sport by playing host and entertaining hundreds of dealers and industry personnel as a VIP hospitality center. Over 700 dealer personnel were given race tickets and paddock passes to help them enjoy this once a year event.

To kick off the ultra exciting weekend, Parts Unlimited and AGV invited none other than Valentino Rossi to stop by the Parts Unlimited tent for a VIP dinner and autograph session. Qualifying reps and Managers were lucky recipients of an autographed AGV Rossi replica helmet. The race weekend itself was packed full of entertainment for spectators and industry personnel. One contributor throwing down extreme entertainment was X-Games Gold medalist and THOR sponsored freestyle rider, Nate Adams. Adams helped pump up the crowd with tricks such as the; back flip/cordova, lazyboy, Indian air along with many other incredible back flip combinations.

Those who made it into the paddock were met by exotic race fumes, beautiful umbrella girls, scurrying team members and scorching heat. To help beat the heat and the crowds, Parts Unlimited placed a second truck in the middle of the paddock for a nice place to beat the heat and relax with a cold beverage.

As race time approached, the Parts Unlimited VIP dealer hospitality center in turn 5 Chalet began filling up to watch the best riders in the world in person as they entered and exited turn 5 or on one of the many TV's scattered through out the area. With live race coverage playing on the big screens and the sound of the bikes going through turn 5 only 50ft. away, there couldn't have been a better place to watch the world's best motorcycle racers.

Not only does the Parts Unlimited slogan, "We Support the Sport" go above and beyond the meaning, but Parts Unlimited supports the dealer as well. In appreciation of everything dealers do and contribute to the sport, Parts Unlimited is proud to hold such an event for those participating dealers and would like to thank all of those who attended.
