Hentges Racing starts season with podiums and domination!
12/07/2006
The new team proves integration & hardwork pays off! - The season opened with great racing and Hentges Racing snowmobiles all over the podiums. The team looked phenomenal with the Arctiva gear, Z1R helmets and the Polaris IQ 440, the best looking and working sleds on the snow! It was a great showcase of what is to come with the revamped and expanded Hentges Racing.
The Pro classes opened with Levi LaVallee finishing second on the Pirtek machine and TJ Gulla finishing fourth on the Arctiva machine in an exciting race with the crowd on their feet. It is a great way for the Pros to start the year and TJ is currently 2nd in points because of his great qualifying and Levi sits in fourth with a tremendous amount of comfort and confidence.
In the Semi-Pro Ranks, Brett Bender rode his signature Polaris edition machine to SWEEP both Semi-Pro Stock and Open classes. Brett was flawless in winning every Semi-Pro heat and final that he entered. Brett will be the rider to beat in Gaylord, where he plans to continue his dominance. Chris Kafka also had a great weekend with a fifth place finish in Semi-Pro Stock. Bobby LePage and Jonny Hentges were looking great in the beginning of the weekend but a crash for each slowed them through the weekend and will be back to full force at the next National.
To cap off the weekend, TJ Gulla and Brett Bender qualified for the X Games through top five finishes in the finals. TJ and Brett will join Levi, who received a media selection, at X Games in Aspen, CO January 25th - 27th.
Next stop is Gaylord, Michigan on Dec. 16th - 17th.
Speed TV will be airing the Duluth National December 9th at 1PM CST.
