Whibley Is Two Away From GNCC Championship
10/02/2009
After winning yesterday's Moose Racing Yadkin Valley Stomp GNCC only two races stand between Paul Whibley and the Can-Am/Parts Unlimited GNCC Racing championship. Mother Nature threw in some obstacles for the riders to overcome with rain the day prior making the track deep ruts and mudholes. Add in the 15-foot creek jump GNCC already was throwing at the riders and you've got yourself quite an interesting race. Only the strong were going to survive this event, that was for sure. Whibley started out strong taking the $250 Motorcycle-USA.com holeshot award. He didn't back down until he had crossed the finish line ahead of everyone else.
Fellow Moose Racing team mate, Josh Strang joined him on the podium in 2nd place.
With 5 wins Whibley is at 274 points. With 4 wins Strang is at 242 points.
