Gosselaar Takes Second Straight Podium

Orlando, FL — The eleventh stop of the Amp'd Mobile AMA Supercross Series wrapped up this weekend with Parts Unlimited and THOR riders taking three of the top ten spots in the Supercross division.
Chad Reed decided to take the same route as in Daytona last weekend and skipped the second practice. In heat one, Reed made a mistake while in second and allowed Tyler Evans and Nick Wey by. Reed passed both momentarily until Evans came into a corner and bumped Reed, causing him to go down and into the semis. Reeds extra time on the track took its toll after the winning his semi, elected to go straight to the pits and get ice on his shoulder before the main.
The second Supercross heat saw Ricky Carmichael grab the lead and pull away while Kevin Windham, (who has returned from injury) in second. Battling for third was Ivan Tedesco and Michael Byrne, but in the end Tedesco grabbed the third place honors.
As the gate dropped in the main, James Stewart grabbed the lead and never looked back. Carmichael rode around in second while Tedesco, Bryne battled for third and Windham and Reed fought for sixth. Just after halfway, Reed put on a charge up to fifth after slipping to ninth. Tedesco finished fourth and Byrne in seventh.
Chris Gosselaar grabbed the early lead in the Supercross Lites Main Event until lap four when Josh Grant went by. A lap later, Davi Millsaps moved into second, leaving Gosselaar in third. At the end, the running order was Grant, Millsaps and for the second week in a row Lil' Goose landed on the podium in third, which ties him with Grant for second in the overall points chase.
