Moose Riders Top Maxxis Endurocross

Janesville, WI - The 2006 Maxxis Endurocross held in Las Vegas, NV November 17 & 18, 2006 once again provided spectators with bar banging excitement. Moose riders, John Dowd and Nathan Woods battled back and forth during the main event to give the crowd the last lap, last corner drama-filled finish. Ryan Hughes made his way back to racing but didn't make the final duet to crashes.
At the start of the final, Dowd grabbed the holeshot ahead of Woods and defending champion, David Knight in third. Just as it looked like a three-way battle was forming, Knight went down leaving Dowd and Woods way out front. Dowd held the lead for most of the race but Woods was always there to capitalize on any mistakes. After exchanging the lead several times throughout the race, the two bumped and banged bars coming into the last corner on the last lap. Woods ended up tipping over and Dowd went on to win the race. Woods was able to finish the race in second while Knight crossed the line in third.
