Moose Racing Takes 4 out of Top 5 Spots
4/4/2006
Milford, CA (March 31 - April 2, 2006) — The fourth round of the World Off-Road Championship Series was held at the most off-road orientated track of the year in Milford, CA.
Moose Racing sponsored riders, Bobby Garrison jumped out to the early lead and led the first few laps before hard charging; Ryan Hughes went by and immediately opened up a 10 second lead. Hughes' lead didn't last long as he was held up on a tricky uphill waterfall section, which allowed Garrison and Mike Kiedrowski to go by.
Hughes remounted and charged back to the front eventually re-passing Garrison for second, then Kiedrowski for first. Shortly after regaining the lead, Hughes went down again allowing Kiedrowski to go by for the last time. Hughes some how managed to nurse his ride across the line in second with a flat tire and brake problems.
Lance Smail charged from a poor start to finish third on the day, while Ty Davis made a last lap charged to move up to fourth overall. Defending champ, Nathan Woods suffered from a poor start as well and was fiercely charging through the pack until an unscheduled pit stop due to a flat tire.
Overall, Moose Racing took four of the top five spots and continue to prove they are a force to be reckoned with.
