Henry Returns To Winning Ways

5/02/2006

Fontana, CA (April 29, 2006) — After suffering a season ending injury last August during a race at Copper Mountain, CO., Doug Henry returned to his winning ways as he walked away with both wins during the opening round of the AMA Supermoto Championships.

"I wasn't expecting to win in my first race back," said Henry, who rode a Graves Yamaha YZF450. "I saw that Jeff [Ward] was gaining on me in the second race, but I think I had a little in reserve for him had he caught me."

Henry's teammate, Mark Burkhart didn't have the weekend he was looking for and is looking forward to round two at Road America, in Elkhart Lake, WI.

Parts Unlimited rider, Cassidy Anderson came away with the Lites win while THOR rider, Brandon Currie rounded out the podium in third.

In the Supermoto Unlimited division, Parts Unlimited and THOR rider, Daryl Atkins came away with a fourth place finish aboard the all new Aprilia SXV 550cc machine.
