11/13/2006
Janesville, WI - For the second week in a row the AMA Arenacross Series provided fans with great racing and plenty of excitement at the Pepsi Arena in Albany, New York November 10th & 11th, 2006.
Friday night's AMA Arenacross Lites class kicked off the weekend of great racing with Moose Racing sponsored rider, Jim Neese taking the win. Former Supercross Champion, John Dowd jumped out the early lead in the AMA Arenacross class until lap seven when Robbie Reynard made a pass and pulled away. With Dowd finishing in second, defending Arenacross Champion, Chad Johnson charged from a second row start to finish on the podium in third. Johnson's teammate, Greg Schnell came across in fourth which was good enough to capture the points lead.
In an exciting AMA Arenacross Lites final Saturday night, Robbie Smith put in a great ride to secure the win while Neese came across in second. Patrick Boyle rounded out the podium in third.
Teddy Maier grabbed the AMA Arenacross holeshot but was quickly overtaken by a determined Kevin Johnson. Johnson went uncontested for the remainder of the race while Dowd slipped to fourth after running second. Danny Smith made a charge to finish second just ahead of Neese in third.
